Live & Laugh

Laughing is essential. It just is. Behold a world brimming with bitter people, workaholics and drunkards to name a few. The devil steals our thunder and that can be no more. Point: we need to laugh more often
Most of us (unconsciously) mimic robotic gestures, merely reacting to every cry and demand of the world. We follow a routine that is generally harmful, slightly anti-social and usually stressful.

A genuine laugh here and there can help lighten a person’s load, and possibly help see a brighter side of their world.
Conversations are short and dry these days. Gone are the days when people interacted with passion and laughter. You know, when it was still a thing. Let’s bring it back!
Make time for friends and be present. Talk about the latest fad, funny memories from the past, or the fact that you tripped going to class the other day. Go beyond sharing social media memes and viral videos. Better, put your phone a-w-a-y. Just have a laugh! Work those abs!
From the overflowing demands to fast-pace living, we must find humor (good, wholesome humor) as an outlet to relieve the not-so-hot moments in life. Think of it as medication for the soul. That way we don’t dwell and sink into a dark and dangerous abyss called frustration, which leads to depression.

I'm Ian, the writer behind CharlesTucket (a mix between Charleston & Nantucket, two of my favorite places). My hope is to inspire every man to live a wholesome & whimsical life, one quirk at a time.
