Caffeinated Charm

A bright and playful look, suitable for weekend coffee runs.

Hey gents!
It’s a beautiful day here in the Low Country. Even better, it’s finally Friday!
Believe it or not, I haven’t drank coffee for six weeks. SIX. WEEKS.
If you saw my rant via. insta stories last week, then you probably know about my situation. I had a major jaw surgery two months ago, followed by a 5-6 week recovery. And the worst part? no solid foods. My palette consisted of green juice, chicken puree (gross) and soup. Everything healthy -doctor’s orders.
Well, i’m seven weeks in. Life is back to normal.
First things first: a much needed trip to the coffee shop!
Starting the weekend with a cup o’ joe from The Rise Coffee Bar, one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. Owned by The Restoration Hotel (cutest d├ęcor) and right across from Basic Kitchen (best salads), the location is super spot on. I highly recommend their cold brew (with almond flavor!).

Let’s talk outfit details:

When it comes to Charleston, light and airy looks are my absolute go-to’s. I find myself clutching the blues and whites as a nod to the classic charlestonian costume (you know, the blue shirt, khaki shorts, and brown shoe situation. Gotta love their classic street style!) Not to mention blue and white take over 90% of the closet. #truth
Besides, Charleston breeds humidity and civility.
I decided last minute to throw on a neckerchief for added texture. The giraffe wallet is super stinkin’ cool! Practical and playful all in one.
In a city brimming with romance and greenery, why not personify its charm through my personal style?
But on a funny note, I received a TON of positive feedback from strangers and a handful of turning heads. Didn’t know the scarf was that bold. Ha!
I’ve got a long day ahead -lots of sipping and strolling. Pretty sure the caffeine consumption and supplementary scarf will help make the day extra cheery.
Have a great weekend friends!

all the brotherly love,
