Elevated Denim

This pair will make the other dungarees jealous. Trust me.

Hey Dappers!
Glad to be back. Ever since I came back from #NYFWM, my main concern was “how on earth i’ll be able to catch up with all my school work.”
Gotta get that A. lol. #nerdstatus

I own multiple pairs of denim, with styles gravitating towards the conservative side. I’m not much of a show-boy; rather, more of a low key nonchalant guy when it comes to denim. Straight-fit is my everyday jam.
Before I left for New York, I bought a pair of Levi’s cropped denim. You guys, it’s a good one. For all my short-legged lads, this one accentuates the legs for days. I know, I know, the patch is probably a major turn off.
Let’s talk about the outfit first. I kept the look relatively simple with a heather grey sweater and weathered wingtip oxfords. The Dopp Kit was an added bonus (aka channeling my inner Ian). Been hauling this particular dopp for awhile now with multiple outfits.
If worn with a basic/neutral top, the patches are hardly noticeable. The dark green shade gives a subtle pop that easily blends well with all sorts of colors (but then again, stick with the neutrals if you wanna keep the look clean). The color combo is practical, if you ask me.
I highly recommend buying a pair of risky jeans. 1. because they keep the closet fun and fresh, and 2. they are a great way to test the fashion wave. If you know your “brand,” as i’ve mentioned in this post, then a playful pair of jeans won’t hurt. As long as you stick to your color theme and aesthetic, you’re set.
Always be practical and quality-driven, but never lose the fun in clothing.
