Happy Thanksgiving

Homemade pies. Macy’s parade. Flag football. Autumnal field coats.  Turkey. Family.

Thanksgiving is a holiday dedicated to the word THANKS.  Nowadays we like to rush things. We like convenience, shortcuts and microwaves.

When we take the easy route, we bereave ourselves from seeing the beauty in life. On that note, our appreciation to things become inferior and the word THANKS loses it’s “umph.”

Sometimes we say we’re “thankful” for this and that, but think deep…are we really thankful? or are we just saying things to be respectful or out of habit? It’s not enough to say words that don’t mean squat. Let’s take a step back and make a list of things we’re thankful for. Let’s get to the nitty gritty. Let’s find the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

I’m thankful for family, friends and french fries. What about you?
